key accountabilities

this is a hands-on operational and engineering role that involves understanding and managing the hardware and software solutions that provide enterprise storage (san and nas) and backup services for applications across the enterprise.

24 x 7 support and maintenance of the infrastructure， participation in ‘on-call’ rota and out of hours work.

develop and deliver service automation at every opportunity to remove manual tasks， assist with integration， improve operational flexibility， provide solution agility and greater awareness on the state of enterprise storage and backup services.

storage and backup capacity planning and utilisation reporting.

assist in defining metrics， monitoring and reports from any tools deployed in the environments.

assist with setting strategic direction for san， nas and backup solutions in conjunction with function lead.

documentation and maintenance of operational issues and solutions.

provide input into engineering components required for enterprise storage and backup services.

continually improve the service and underlying platform by identifying and delivering service improvement/optimisation.

produce standards and implementation processes for the enterprise storage and backup platform.

work closely with the team and other infrastructure group areas across globally distributed teams – server platforms， networks and database.

work closely with the pmo when delivering capability as part of a project or program of work， understanding project methodologies， business requirements and managing time to market.

liaison with external suppliers for support and solution implementation.

critical skills and experience

significant enterprise or equivalent experience in san， nas and backup administration in an emc， netapp and netbackup environment.

san product experience in xtremio， symmetrix， vplex and brocade.

nas product experience in isilon and netapp fas.

backup product experience in netbackup， data domain and ecs.

storage and backup management toolset experience in vipr srm， symcli， unisphere， connectrix manager and the various cli interfaces for the above products.

cloud storage product experience in aws or azure

operating system exposure to linux (rhel)， windows server， esx and aix.

database exposure to oracle rdbms， mssql and sybase.

experience or exposure in building solutions for high availability， reliability and resilience (clustering， replication， clones， snapshots).

proven ability to understand the importance of the client/customer experience， understand the requirements of the consumer and provide solutions/service in accordance with this.

excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey information concisely and clearly to technical and management audiences.

an ability to work in a productive and flexible manner with globally diverse teams across emea， india and apac.

good knowledge of technologies in other core infrastructure areas (networks， operating systems， virtualisation， databases) and how those products/solutions interact with enterprise storage and backup services.

good scripting capability in python or perl with an ability to use these languages in the automation of operational and engineering activities.

desired skills and experience

experience in software engineering – writing code with high level object orientated languages such java， python， ruby， scala， go etc， specifically creating applications for infrastructure operations and engineering.

working with agile software development practices – test driven development， continuous integration/delivery/deployment， de-coupled code， iterative and incremental development， code pipelines， version control.

experience working with or creating restful apis， and their associated gateways， for infrastructure service abstraction and consumption – defining standards， methods， frameworks and working practices.

experience with json and xml data-interchange formats， specifically in relation to the generation， capture and manipulation of data from assets in infrastructure domains.

experience with data analytics - structured/unstructured data， sql and nosql datastores， caches and memory processing， oltp/olap， etl， streaming， acid， base and their application to infrastructure platforms.

exposure to enterprise distributed systems and the associated challenges/approaches in engineering and operating these architectures.

experience working in a financial services organisation.

degree in mathematical， computer science or engineering discipline.

任职资格：

1.熟悉c/c 编程语言，五年以上底层系统研发经验

2.熟悉分布式系统的设计和应用，对构建大规模分布式系统有浓厚的兴趣

3.熟悉分布式存储机制，能对分布式常用技术进行合理应用，解决问题

4.具备linux内核以及底层存储相关经验优先，有ceph构建经验的优先

2、 负责构建分布式大文件存储系统;

3、 负责分布式块存储服务性能优化;

4、 负责公司重点vip客户的技术咨询与服务，定期保持技术沟通;

岗位要求：

1、 本科及以上学历，计算机相关专业;

2、 具有存储hcie、emcie或同级别的相关认证;

3、 五年网络存储研发经验;

4、 熟悉集中存储和分布式存储原理;

5、 熟悉集中存储和分布式系统的设计和应用，对构建大规模存储系统有浓厚的兴趣;
