primary strategic responsibilities:
· protect the interest of excelligence learning corporation.
· translate complex issues into simple working solutions.
· scout, identify, develop and qualify new suppliers.
· assess through supplier conversation, analyze and identify imminent business threat or opportunity.
· analyze supplier and assess the true state of supplier condition.
· conduct supplier factory visit to verify they are who they say they are and validate they can do what they say they can do.
· assess supplier core competency, process capabilities and process control.
· assess mutual business fit and opportunity for strategic business alliance and partnership.

secondary tactical responsibilities:
· research potential supplier pool based on assigned product category.
· perform initial supplier contact and complete initial supplier inquiry.
· identify good fit potential supplier pool and arrange on site visit.
· complete end to end supply chain survey, social responsibility audit and supplier assessment.
· coordinate and complete rfx (rfi – request for information, rfp – request for proposal, rfq – request for quote).
· coordinate sample request and corporate cross functional team inquiry.
· coordinate new product qualification and new product introduction with supplier.
· perform supplier product development audit and routine pre-shipment inspection.
· negotiate as required.
required qualifications:
· bachelor degree in supply chain, business, engineering or equivalent degree.
· minimum 10 years of diverse end to end supply chain experience, preferably well blended between strategic sourcing and manufacturing.
· prior experience working for a global company.
· global logistics experience and basic incoterms (international commerce terms) knowledge.
· able to work well with cross functional teams.
· able and willing to work flexible hours as needed.
· strong quantitative and analytical skills.
· strong negotiation skill.
· detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· ability to think outside of the box and execute lead time and moq reductions.
· reasonable iso, tuv, astm and corporate social responsibilities knowledge.
· must have the foresight to anticipate and mitigate dynamic global economic events.
· ability to manage supplier risk through supply base diversification and improve supply continuity through risk mitigation.
· reasonable english verbal and written skills.

preferred qualifications:
· advance degree, lean, six sigma and industry certification preferred but not required.
· prior school supply and/or school equipment experience preferred.
· raw materials, commodity, finished school supply / school equipment products oem and contract manufacturing experience.
· ability to gather competitive product pricing and product supply market information.
· ability to identify new product trend and new product supply market information.
· champion in continuous improvement in reducing cost, improving efficiencies and securing favorable commercial terms.
· abilities to maximize value and minimize spend investment.

øwork closely with regional sales managers to provide assistance, gather customer needs, market trends and competitive information.
